Greetings Comrades

April is here. Not just April Fool’s Day and Tax Day. Now’s the time to think about the coming VFW year, leadership, elections and teamwork.

First, consider the number of special events that we have held successfully this year already. Did you come to the program about the origin of the “ Star spangled Banner?” or the special Saturday morning showing of the PBS movie on World War II? Did you have a chance to meet the Air Force Academy cadets that shared mornings with us in January and February? What a satisfying experience to meet those young leaders of the future.

Dear Auxiliary Sisters,

We’re in the homeward stretch with our Auxiliary for this year. It’s time to think about your part in moving our Auxiliary forward and taking an active role in the organization. Did you participate in any of the events this year? Did you donate to any of our projects? Did you enjoy the programs presented at the combined Post/Auxiliary breakfasts? If not, you missed out on some really fun times, good food and new experiences. If you did participate then it’s time to step up and help with the planning and provide your positive input to future events.

Once again, the Men's Auxiliary accepted Commander Knutson's challenge and followed through with signing up four new Auxiliary members!!! Welcome new members, Arnold Gassman, Marvin Knutson, Keven Christensen and David Leeper. We want you to enjoy all the comaraderie at our Post, include Friday night dinner and dance.
